Welcome to The Eco Laundry

Exceptional linen.
Service you can count on.

Lola founded the business on a simple principle: to provide exceptional laundry and linen services built on quality, reliability, genuine customer relationships and care for the environment.

From our humble beginnings in a garden shed, we have grown into a modern commercial laundry serving hospitality across the South West. We continue to invest in our team, facilities and more efficient equipment, with the aim of using water and energy more thoughtfully while preserving the personal service on which our reputation has been built.

Quality, without compromise

A finish that reflects
your standards.

We recognise that linen is fundamental to every guest experience. Behind every delivery is a commitment to quality, consistency and attention to detail — from crisp bed linen to beautifully presented table linen.

Whether supporting a single property or a multi-property brand, we approach every customer with the same care and professionalism. Our team takes pride in the washing, handling and finishing of your linen, helping it stay in service for longer, because the details matter to your guests as much as they matter to us.

Here when you need us

Good service doesn't
take a bank holiday.

Our customers know us by name. When you call, you speak to someone who knows your business, with direct access to the people who can make decisions and help. We understand the operational pressures of hospitality, and our customer service is available even on bank holidays.

If something isn’t right, we fix it. If your occupancy suddenly increases, we do everything we can to help. Prompt responses, compassion and care for both our product and our customer relationships are at the heart of our service.

More than linen

A personal partnership.
A shared commitment.

We take pride in building long-term relationships based on trust, responsiveness and continuous improvement. That partnership extends to the way we care for the environment, with thoughtful use of water and energy, careful handling to help linen last longer, and suppliers who share our values.

Sustainability has been part of our story from the beginning. From reusable detergent containers to finding new homes for linen no longer suitable for hire, we believe in practical steps that reduce waste. As we invest in more efficient equipment and develop how we measure our impact, our aim is to keep improving alongside the businesses we serve.

We are invested in your success, and in making thoughtful choices for the future.

Thoughtful care, beyond the finish

From reusable detergent containers to finding a second life for linen no longer suitable for hire, our story is one of practical steps towards reducing waste.

Eco’s sustainable journey.

The Eco Laundry began with one washing machine and a simple belief: beautiful linen and thoughtful care for the environment should go hand in hand. From our humble beginnings, sustainability has been at the heart of everything we do.

Those early ambitions included solar power, a borehole, reverse osmosis and a biomass boiler, alongside carefully chosen detergents and a supplier who took back empty containers for reuse. Hybrid vans became another milestone in reducing transport emissions.

With that, word spread about The Eco Laundry and the quality of its linen. Enquiries grew into a waiting list, and with the purchase of a local competitor came additional capacity and further growth. This additional growth also brought challenges. Working across different sites made our processes less efficient, while bringing another business into the fold meant aligning standards and values. Keeping every customer’s orders on track left us with less time for the environmental improvements we wanted to make.

That experience shaped a broader understanding of sustainability: a business must also be financially strong, support dependable employment throughout the year and contribute to its community. The answer was to rethink our space and the way the laundry worked.

A bigger space. A clearer vision.

The next major step was securing a 10,000 sq ft unit, designed to bring the operation together and make better use of water, energy and time. The new location brought the laundry closer to 76% of its customer base, shortening the majority of journeys by up to an hour. Also, additional machinery with greater capacity and lower energy use supports a more efficient working day.

Part of the plan was a target to process 30% more linen while reducing peak operating hours from 16 hours a day to 10. Reverse osmosis was introduced to reduce water usage by 22% and detergent use by 12%, bringing the wash temperature down to 40°C and reducing overall heat demand.

We are currently working towards ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety management, and ISO 14001 for environmental management. These standards provide a framework for strengthening our systems, supporting our team and continually improving the way we work.

Our commitment extends to the hospitality community we serve. We are proud to be headline sponsors of both the Devon Tourism Awards 2026 and the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2026, supporting recognition of excellence across the region.
